FAQ 1:
Question:
How do I know if my system is set to the correct CPF
changes effective Oct 1, 2003?
Answer: Please follow
the steps below.

Ensure that the version
number shown at the Login Screen is version 7.1.0
or greater, and the Compilation Date is shown as
Sep 23, 2003 or later. If your program is not the
latest, you can click at this link to download the
latest program :

If your Login Screen is already showing the latest
version, you can proceed to the next steps 2.) & 3.)
to check: |

Go to the option Payroll | Setup | CPF Table. |
| 3. |
Check that the Current Formula
ID is set to After 01/10/2003. Answer “Yes” to
confirm the change of formula. |
*REMINDER:
Ensure that the above is set BEFORE you initialise the
October 2003 payroll. If you have already initialise
to October 2003 & the formula ID is not set correctly,
select the correct formula in the steps 2.) & 3.)
above first. Then, Reprocess Normal Pay for the whole
pay group.

FAQ 2:
Question: I have just upgraded my PC to Microsoft Windows
XP. Now the payslip printing is off-alignment.
How do
I correct this?
Answer: You will need to create a custom
paper size in Microsoft Windows XP. Please follow the
steps
below.

Note: You must have administrator rights on the machine
to create the new paper size.

Go to Windows "Start" button,
choose "Printers and Faxes".

Highlight the printer that you
will be using and from the "File" menu,
choose "Server Properties".

Check the option “Create
a new form” and type a form name for
it. In the below example, we name it as “Payslip”.
Leave the unit measurements as “English” and
type in 8.50in for Width and 4.00in for
Height. Click on the “Save Form” to
save it. (Click

Select back the same printer
and choose “Printing Preferences” from
the “File” menu.

Click on the “Advanced” button.

Change the default paper under
Paper Size to “Payslip”. Click on the “OK” button
to confirm the changes done.

Highlight back the same printer
and choose “Properties” from the “File” menu.

Go to “Device Settings” under
the printer’s properties screen and change
the paper type to “Payslip”. Normally,
you would change the paper type under “Manual
Paper Feed:” option, or “Tractor
Feed:” option,
if it is available. Remember to click “OK” to
confirm your settings.

When printing payslip through
the Easy Pay / Staff Windows Program, remember to
choose the “Paper Size” as “NT:
custom 8.5x4 inch” option.

If the above option still doesn’t work, try choosing
the “Paper Size” as "Win:
Payslip" or "DOS:
Payslip". Otherwise, you can email to our

Question: How do I prepare for the CPF Pal submission
to CPF Board?
Answer:
Please follow the steps below.

In the Main Menu
of the Easy Pay Windows, Choose the "Bank
/ CPF Disk" option. |
| 2. |
Choose the "CPF
Pal Internet" option. |
| 3. |
Fill in the details on screen,
when that is done, choose the "Direct
Submit" option. |
| 4. |
Click "OK" to confirm
the ERN Number & Account Type. |
| 5. |
Enter your SingPass ID & Password. |
| 6. |
Note the return status message
and you should check your email for the notification
from CPF Board. |
Alternatively, if your internet connection is at another
computer, replace step 3.) onwards with the steps below:

Fill in the details
on screen, when that is done, choose the "File
Generate" option. |
| 2. |
Choose the drive to save in and
choose "OK" to save. |
| 3. |
Click here to proceed to CPF

Question: Where can I receive the latest program updates?
Answer:
Please follow the steps below.

In the "Download" option
you see above, select your program version to download. |
| 2. |
Then choose the type of program
to download from the list below. |
| 3. |
Scroll down and fill in your
company details, click on the "Submit" button
to proceed. |
| 4. |
Click on the download file below
the program description highlighted in RED, save
it to your hard drive. |
| 5. |
You will receive an e-mail reply
with a "PASSWORD" within an hour after
you've downloaded the program from us to allow you
to open this update file. |
| 6. |
Once you've received the e-mail,
just click on the update file, fill-in the password
and follow the screen through to update your program. |
NOTE : The speed of download is very dependent on your
internet service connection. It is advisable to do the
download during the low internet traffic period.
